If you like beer, there are just a few places in Stockholm that I'd recommend. Monk’s Café on Wallingatan just north of Norra Bantorget is one of them. Last night I joined Kathrin, Jonas & Malin for drinks there. I had three different beers from Bavaria. I was particularly fond of the last one, a dark lager sold under Monk’s own name, but brewed by Riegele in Bavaria.

A few beers at Oliver Twist
Last night I joined Matt & Lisa at Oliver Twist, a pub on Söder with a great selection of beers. I had a couple of beers from Mahr's brewery in Bamberg, Germany. I didn't particularly like the pils, but the weissbier was delicious. OT has a big selection of beers from the U.S. too. I asked after beers from New Beligum Brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado; unfortunately, these were among the stock. So I finished witha Celis White from my hometown, Austin. Well, it used to be brewed in Austin.

Dinner today
For dinner today I had one of my favorite meals: Nürnburger bratwurst with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. This time I also had a special treat: a bottle of organic Riedenburger Pils beer. Riedenburg is a small town in Bavaria near Regensburg, and it's my good friend Andrea's hometown.
